Hey Humans!

This is my all time favorite Happy Birthday song! Stevie Wonder is a legend! Just yesterday was my 20th birthday. It’s time to leave my teen years behind….

I’m mostly shocked that I’m not a kid anymore… But I’m excited for this new years and the beginning of my adulthood. I’m excited what everything in life is going to show me. So happy birthday to me!

Boom Clap by Charli XCX

[Weekly Jam]

Hey Humans!

For this past week I’ve been sitting in the car for over 700km around Java, Indonesia. And what better way to forget the pain in my bum than to listen to some music. This song was totally forgotten by me. I loved this song so much when the movie “The Fault in Our Stars” was coming out. I was so eager to watch the movie, so I just listened to the movie soundtracks to hold back a bit of my eagerness.

This song is so energetic and fun. It reminds me of the scenes in the TFIOS movie. When you’re sleepy in the car, this song is the way to hit it. Turn up the volume and sing out loud the lyrics “Boom, Clap! The sound of my heart, the beat goes on and on and on and on now!”. I just had to sing it while typing it out. Give this song a go…

Star Wars Soundtrack

[Weekly Jam]

Hey Humans!

Almost everyone I know has been buzzing about the new Star Wars movie. After all the years, it’s time for them to come back. I wasn’t a Star Wars fan at all, but I managed to watch the latest film with my mom. I love the new film! I was mostly more into looking at the little round droid BB-8.

bb8-star-wars_3274_3274829bStar Wars has one of the best movie scoring movies there is. When I was watching the latest film I was thinking what it would be like if I watched the first movie in 1977. How awesome it must have been to see the effects and music. Turning a whole new history of movies. Nowadays anything is possible with all the technologies, but back then it was harder. The Star Wars Soundtrack is still known as the best movie soundtrack there is until now. So imagine if you were to hear that in 1977! I would’ve been excited to see the action.

Overall everything was all better with the movie and sound. How they kept most of everything from the original trilogy. I’m looking forward on the new young actors in the film, they’re so good at it!

Roundtable Rival by Lindsey Stirling

[Weekly Jam]

Hey Humans!

I have been playing the violin for over 11 years now. Lindsey Stirling has become my most favorite violinist, her style is very unique as a violinist. She has made violin an exciting instrument to play in a whole new level. I’d have to thank her so much, because just when I was on the peak of giving up on violin, she has made me love it more.

My recent favorite is Roundtable Rival. The vibe of that song is so country like and electronic music. It’s so fun to play. I’ve been so tired of playing classical pieces with a lot of rules on how to play them. Where as playing her music is so free, and let’s people express however you want. That is why I love her music, especially her playing the violin.

Check out the video, she also dances while she plays. Which I’d have to say is CRAZY!

Welcome To New York by Taylor Swift

[Weekly Jam]

Hey Humans!

I know I know, this song is so last year. But I don’t care! I was just listening to her “1989” album, and the first song that came up is Welcome To New York. I forgot how much I loved this song. I’ve always loved this song from the first time I heard it. It may be a lot of people’s dream to go to New York. Well for me, I would love it if I could go there someday for something important.

This song is so fun, the lyrics and beat is so catchy. It makes me dance in my room pretending to be a singer while imagining myself in the middle of New York. It may sound weird, but I think it’s quite hilarious myself. Anyways, Taylor Swift does make great songs with great rhyming words. I absolutely love this song!

I’ll Show You by Justin Bieber

[Weekly Jam]

Hey Humans!

I know some of you might love Justin’s songs, some might just hate by just hearing his name. Either way, his new album in my opinion is not like any of his other albums. Of course he’s more mature, but it’s more heartfelt.

My most favorite out of all the songs in the album is I’ll Show You. He’s basically saying that he has done wrong things, and he had to learn the hard way, but now he wants to show people that he’s not what people see on camera. Like, everyone thinks that they know him, but they don’t.

This song can relate to anybody really. And what makes this song better is the music video that comes with it. Unbelievable.. Amazing!

Wanted by Hunter Hayes

[Weekly Jam]

Hey Humans!
I was just listening to the radio, then a nostalgic music turned on. As usual, I would sing my ass off not even thinking who’s the singer and song title. I remember the lyrics like I’ve heard it all my life. It was Hunter Hayes’ song called Wanted.

It’s such a beautiful song. It makes you sway when you listen to it. It makes you feel wanted…. I’ve always loved Hunter’s songs. He’s an amazing country musician! Give a listen 😉

Perfect by Simple Plan

[Weekly Jam]

Hey Humans!

Let’s go old school! This has been and always will be my favorite band. The first band I’ve ever liked. One day my brother brought home an album by Simple Plan. Ever since then, we loved their music. I would sing their whole album around in the room with my brother. One of my favorite songs from them is Perfect. It’s a very touching song. It’s a message that everyone feels, but with this song they’re making it easy for everyone to say it out loud.

I’m sorry I can’t be perfect

is what the lyric says. This song is particularly for the writer’s Dad. Saying that he’s sorry, but he’s just human, we’re all human and we’re not perfect. Great song!

Catch Fire by 5 Seconds of Summer

[Weekly Jam]

Hey Humans!

I sure don’t want to catch fire, but with this song 5sos gave a different style to their song. I love their usual pop punk rock kind of music, but the first time I heard this song I just fell in love. Honestly the lyrics are like other love songs, but how they presented the song with their instruments and voice….. A treat to my ears.

Oh and they have their new album “Sounds Good Feels Good” out and I’m lovin’ it. They are Australians and the same age as me. It would’ve been awesome if I were to go to the same school as them.. hmmm..

Confident by Demi Lovato

[Weekly Jam]

Hey Humans!

This song is absolute power. When I’m feeling scared or anything, I start remember this song and start singing “What’s wrong with being confident?”. That couldn’t be more true. Look away from those evil minions in your life, you’ve got better things to be great at, while they’re just busy doing useless. Just remember that it’s alright to be confident! You have a voice, a mind, an idea, be confident and let it out!

Cya soon,

Syra 🙂
